WandaVision Premiere date and Episode count announced By Disney+

The premiere date for WandaVision, the first MCU TV series on Disney+, was announced along with the show’s episode count. This series was expected to be the second providing from marvel Studios’ new TV department, however the COVID-19 pandemic threw those plans into disarray. The Falcon and the winter season Soldier needed to finish up filming and then go into post-production. Interestingly, WandaVision ended up being mostly complete when the shutdown happened. So, there seemed to be a chance the series would premiere in 2020. Alas, that’s not to be, according to Disney. during an profits call today, executives revealed that Disney+ subscriptions already hit their four-year goal number. across all of their platforms, Disney has practically 100 million subscribers. Disney+ features the most with 73.7 million, while Hulu has 36.6 million. This news bolstered Disney stock, especially after the pandemic decimated their parks business.

Currently, the second season of The Mandalorian has Disney+ back in the center of the pop culture conversation. (Currently, the Internet is abuzz with debate over the fact baby Yoda ate some eggs in The Passenger.) However, no other Disney+ original so commands the zeitgeist. even the premium release of Disney’s Mulan made few waves, though Hamilton in the summer was also a genuine moment. (But that’s much more of an exclusive than an original.)

This is why news about the MCU series is so sought after. WandaVision is especially interesting, because we know she will figure into doctor unusual and the Multiverse of Madness. It also seems that Spider-Man may play a role in that movie, because Benedict Cumberbatch will play the Sorcerer supreme in Spidey’s third film. Yet, this show does not seem like it will be a huge MCU affair. Rather, we’re getting a deeply personal story.

WandaVision Premiere Date, Episode Count, and What to Expect

WandaVision will premiere on January 15, 2021, so mark that date. The show will consist of six episodes, not nine episodes like a rumor earlier in the year suggested. (Though maybe they were already on to filming season 2 when things shut down? A fan can hope.) In fact, the storytellers say that this series will unfold like a comic book. There is a larger narrative built from a series of self-contained stories. However, as we know from the WandaVision trailer, the show will feature the aesthetic of numerous classic television sticoms. and we even have a hint about why that is.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff and Paul Bettany’s Vision were thinking of running away to be together. That didn’t happen, but after Avengers: Endgame, Wanda and Vision somehow end up hiding in a black-and-white TV town called Westview. They are trying to hide their powers, implying that Vision gets to look like Paul Bettany for a time. Still, despite the situation comedy trappings, the story is all about Wanda’s love for Vision and how losing him broke her. Kathryn Hahn plays Agnes, a nosy next-door neighbor and possibly the “Big Bad” of the series, unless Wanda herself goes full Dark Side.

The many interesting casting in WandaVision is that of Teyonah Parris who plays the adult Monica Rambeau, who appeared as a child in Captain Marvel. In the comics, the character gains powers and became close to both Wanda and Vision. In the trailer, we see her being forcefully sent flying across a bright sunny field. She emerges into a dark place, with some television, glitchy VFX, into the center of a very SHIELD-like operation. likely Wanda is either trapped or creating a bubble of alternate reality. possibly pulling Vision out of some corner of the multiverse?

How do you feel about the premiere date for WandaVision and the episode count? Is it too far away? Are six episodes not enough? tell us what you think in the comments below.
